Dedicated to enhancing Total Person Care through advocacy, education, leadership, and support.
We honor our heritage and acknowledge that the roots of our organization began in the traditional nursing home with keeping our MNHSWA. We are so much more today! As the field of health care and services has grown over the years, so has the varied service settings our members come from. Some examples are: skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, senior housing, home care, hospitals, area agencies on aging, and more.
If you are interested in joining the Minnesota Nursing Home Social Workers Association, or would like to renew your membership, just print and fill out the membership form below. Once filled out, mail the membership form to your local chapter treasurer.
Criteria for Membership
- Any social worker who is currently providing social service in a care facility or related organization.
- Any designated person providing social service in a care facility or related organization.
- Any degreed professional active or interested in the field of gerontology.
- Educators responsible for developing professionals to deliver social service in care facilities.
- Persons who pay annual dues and fit one of the above criteria.
- Former members who continue to pay dues.
- Students interested in a career in health care or the field of gerontology.
